Why Tan At Summ R Tan?

All tanning salons, equipment and bulbs ARE NOT created equal. Summ-R-Tan takes pride in maintaining a clean and sanitary salon with some of the most advanced tanning units and bulbs available. We also change all our bulbs BEFORE their rated life. This is especially important to consider when visiting Summ-R-Tan for the 1st time or after tanning at another salon. Ten minutes in our salon may not be the same as what your skin is used to. 

Tanning Tips

Using a good quality tanning accelerator is very important and strongly recommended. Lotion can increase your tanning results by up to 40%. Keeping your skin clean and moisturized during and after tanning is one of the keys to obtaining incredible results!

DO NOT use outdoor tanning products for indoor tanning.

DO NOT use lotions which contain Mineral Oil. Doing so damages the acrylics in the tanning units as well as interferes with your ability to achieve your maximum tanning results.

ALWAYS wear FDA approved eye protection! Your eyelid is a thin membrane and doesn't protect your eyes from UV light.
Note: Effective 1/1/05 it is a CA State Law that tanning salons require clients to wear approved eye protection.

Your lips have no melanin and cannot develop a tan. However, UV light from the sun or a tanning unit can cause your lips to dry out. Always keep your lips moist with an SPF rated lip balm while tanning.

Medical experts recommend a waiting period of 24-48 hours between tanning sessions
